Stevie graduated from William & Mary School of Law in 2013. While there, she worked as a legal fellow for the Muscarelle Museum of Art for two years. She also spent a summer reviewing all festival contracts for C3 Presents. Stevie then moved to New York to work as a Staff Attorney & Estate Manager at the Authors Guild. During this time, she worked with lawmakers on intellectual property protection and organized multiple Amicus Curiae briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court on matters of copyright law.
In 2015, she co-authored the 4th Edition of Business and Legal Forms for Authors and Self-Publishers, which has become the definitive legal guide for publishing law.
Stevie returned to Austin in 2016 to accept a position as Corporate Counsel for Greenleaf Book Group. She consulted across the company on issues involving copyright, trademark, defamation, and privacy concerns.
She understands the unique needs of artists and businesses having worked as both an artist advocate and as an in-house attorney. Stevie maintains an active license to practice law in Texas and New York, so she can help you navigate the entertainment industry across the country.
Stevie regularly teaches classes on publishing law to both authors and lawyers. She is the Vice-Chair of the Austin Bar Association’s Entertainment and Sports Law Section, Council Member of the Texas Bar Association’s Entertainment and Sports Law Section and member of Texas Entertainment Law Institute planning committee. She is involved in various programming across the nation.
